The use of Ozone allows cost reduction of the pulp bleaching through specific less consumption of chorine dioxide. To assure the ozone supply at the smallest cost to a plant, a study must be conducted to evaluate the impact to the plant, taking in consideration the necessities of Oxygen and Ozone, as well as the bleaching sequence to be used. With generation and application technologies consolidated, and several successful industrial experiences throughout the world, the Ozone presents itself as a technical and low-price interesting alternative to the industry.
